The Mini Chelsea was the second installment of the 'London Collection' themed Limited Edition Mini's. Effectively a conservative re-run of the Mini Ritz, the Mini Chelsea featured the same 12" alloy wheels, a single silver coachline running around the body, with silver 'The Chelsea' logo's featured on the rear side panels and bootlid. Unlike the Mini Ritz however, Nimbus grey external trim was back in evidence on the bumpers and door furniture, although this was offset by the inclusion of the chrome framed opening rear side windows.
The relative subtlety of the outside of the car was continued inside. The interior was trimmed in Osprey (grey) velvet, with red piping on the seats, head restraints, door casings and rear companion boxes, although the 'The Chelsea' logo was emblazoned on the reclining front seats. The Mini Chelsea was the first Limited Edition Mini based on the new Mk5 Mini bodyshell.
